“Kingdom Builders Children’s Ministry exists to cultivate children who are grounded in the truth of Christ, pursuing deeper relationship with God, and expanding the Kingdom in their communities.”
We, as a community of Christ followers, believe that children should be fully engage and involved in the worship experience on Sunday mornings. Our children’s worship area is designed to give children a variety of avenues to express themselves during this time of connecting with God. Following our music and family gathering, our children leave for age-focused teaching time.
Our Nursery staff create an atmosphere of welcome that gives our youngest group of children (birth to 3 years) a warm, nurturing first experience away from parents. Our stories and songs in this room celebrate how God has made each one of us and has a special plan for us. Parents of little ones are encouraged to walked with their child to the nursery room.
Our Preschool group has a lot of fun exploring stories God gave us in His Word, the Bible. Our staff engage the children (3 years to 5 years) in hands on experiences that bring these stories to life and help them connect the truth God speaks in those stories to their own lives. The Kidzana Curriculum is the basis for our lessons in this room. Each teaching team gives plenty of opportunity for free play and snack for this energetic class.
Our Young Elementary class is for children from kindergarten to 4th grade. Our goal is to lead this group of children into a greater understanding of God’s purpose for giving us His Written Word. This group also learns to look up and read scripture on their own. We teach real world skills as we tie biblical truth to what is being learned in larger projects, like clay creations, wood working and gardening. These projects are designed to be gifted or displayed in a way that connects these children with the greater community at NLC and beyond.
Our children in 5th to 8th grades meet in the youth room and are involved in a more in-depth study of God’s Word. Lively discussions abound as our leaders and student assistants engage these children in a format that transitions them into more independent study and understanding.
Sign in for children of all ages begins at 9:30 (NLC Carlisle) & 8:45 (NLC Mt. Holly) each Sunday morning at the designated area. Children remain in service with their parents/guardians until they are released as a group following worship.
We ask our parents to please refrain from placing a sick child in our classroom settings. Thank you!
