Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference in the lives of others. We have many opportunities for you to help out within our ministry as well.
Children and adults alike are very important parts of our ministry. Contact us to find out more, and get involved today!
If you have an hour or so to maybe help with the bulletin, or filing let us know. It can be brought to your place or you can come into the office.
Children’s Ministry: Last Sunday a few of the kids that attend NLC did not have a ride to church. Instead of staying home, they rode their bikes to church! I was reminded of just how wonderful it is to share the love of Jesus with the young ones among us. Many of them do not come from homes where mom and dad are followers of Jesus. What a privilege we have to introduce them to the God who loves them!
We have a wonderful, loving and faithful team of volunteers. We have a swelling number of children to serve. I am confident that God is speaking to many of you about joining our team. I ask potential volunteers to visit for a time or two before making a commitment. We also ask our volunteers to submit paperwork for a background check. Each member of our team serves for at least one Sunday a month and some even more. I ask volunteers to limit their times of service to twice per month. (Yep, some want to serve more often because we really do have fun together!) A team member may approach you with an invitation to serve. We consider it an honor and privilege to serve in Children’s Ministry, so if one our team members approaches you, know that you have been honored!
In the Psalm 71:7 we read, “O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” We are the ones will declare God’s strength to the generation that is following us. I often hear people lament that they do not love God enough. Guess what, one way to grow your love for God is to share His love with others - really. Amazing as it sounds, love grows when it is given away. Where are you sharing? If you feel even the smallest tug on your heart for ministry to children, lets search it out together. Some of my best volunteers were surprised when they visited by the joy of their experience! Connect with me at church or send me an email (email@example.com) including your phone number and I will call you!
