Jaylene Shannon is the Next Steps Associate Director here at New Life Community. She facilitates relational connections and spiritual growth for adults through daily connections ministry, weekend services, and public events. Jaylene has a missional heart and is passionate about helping people find healing and hope in Jesus.
Jaylene is licensed and ordained as a pastor and has completed the Directed Study Program through the Brethren in Christ U.S. She has served in her local church, working in both local and global outreach, including leading short-term mission trips. She has training through Precept Ministries, teaching the Bible to both adults and students. In addition, Jaylene draws on experience as a businesswoman, co-owning a business with her husband in Dillsburg, PA. She had also worked in various roles with children and youth in residential homes, fostering, and even driving a school bus.
Jaylene and her Husband, Ron, have been married for over 40 years. They have 3 married children and 8 grandchildren. They love to travel, which is great because their daughter (and her family) are missionaries outside of the United States. For fun, Jaylene loves photography and spending time with family. When she’s not at work, you will find her drinking tea in a nearby coffee shop or enjoying the outdoors at the cabin she and her husband own.
