Maureen Brown serves as the Communications and Worship Pastor at New Life Community, where she has been leading in ministry alongside her husband, Ryan, since 2002. Ordained through the Brethren in Christ U.S. (BIC), she is passionate about helping people encounter God through authentic worship, meaningful community, and everyday practices of spiritual formation.
A graduate of Emmanuel Bible College, Maureen holds a degree in Religious Education with double minors in Christian Education and Music. Her heart for developing leaders extends beyond the local church as the Director of Awaken, a Brethren in Christ ministry that equips, encourages, and advocates for women in ministry.
Maureen is also the writer behind Unrestrained on Substack, where she explores the intersection of faith, spiritual formation, and the ordinary moments that shape a life with Christ.
When she’s not planning worship, creating content, or investing in leaders, you’ll likely find her enjoying a creative project, riding her bike, or spending time with her family. She and Ryan are the grateful parents of an adult son, a daughter, and a son-in-law.
