Next Gen Ministry

We believe the love of Jesus is for every generation, and that following Him is a journey we take together. For kids and students, that means more than just showing up on a Sunday. Our Next Gen ministry is built around a discipleship pathway that helps young people take their next right step with Jesus—whether that’s discovering His love for the first time, learning how to live it out, or growing in leadership.

We create spaces where children and students can experience belonging, wonder, and faith—through Sunday gatherings, mid-week connections, and meaningful relationships that carry into everyday life. Each part is connected, yet no single part stands alone. Your child doesn’t have to be at everything to belong here. What matters most is the steady, relational journey of learning to love and follow Jesus.

What to Expect as a Parent

Your child’s safety and sense of belonging are our top priorities. All of our environments include a simple sign-in and check-out process, so you can have confidence that your child is safe and cared for. We also design age-centered groups so kids and students can grow alongside peers in a way that fits their stage of life:

Partnering with Parents

We believe discipleship works best when church and home walk hand in hand. Our role is to come alongside you with encouragement, resources, and support as you lead your kids spiritually in everyday life. Whether through conversations, milestone moments, or shared experiences, we want to help your family discover practical ways to follow Jesus together.

Do you have childcare for infants?

Yes, we have an amazing children and student ministry team. Nursery is available for infants up to 2 years of age. At NLC, we value family, so we begin the Worship Gathering together for intergenerational worship. Midway through, just before the message, we send children and students out for their age-specific ministry time.
